    A new episode of Top Gear had a LaFerrari, P1 and the Porsche super whatever and funny, the McLaren 720s.
    All those crazy half electric cars with turbine charging wheels and blah blah blah for 2 million dollars and the 720s Keeps up within a second!
    HAPPY ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY 720S THE CAR THAT CHANGED IT ALL!

    I get your enthusiasm and I like the 720s very much but the p1 has substantially more feeling, and while I agree its a lot to pay for relatively little performance increase I can say its worth every penny. Of course YMMV ;)

    I agree....just neat its in the same breath.In person the p1 is so substantial .Its just different.
    Just neat that sucha small company can do so much so fast.

    Take your substantial financial situation out of it for a minute though, is the P1 worth current market value ($2.2-2.4mm) vs the 720S? Or just initial MSRP?

    Yes I think its worth it, its a special car, has a very unique sound and feel. I rarely come close to its limits as one would not with the 720s either. P1 is more brutal, 720s is more refined. 720LT will be the next closest thing I suppose.

    You can stream that show online on various websites, which I'll refrain from linking here.

    The first two episodes were great. I like it more than the Grand Tour's first two seasons.
