It’s finally here! Almost everything is in hand, just waiting for the last of the parts needed from Unobtainium. Going to start this weekend. Phase one on some long overdue upgrades! So excited! Pics to follow!

Actually I don’t think a lift would help. Iirc it’s done from the top. Are you doing the control arm bushing too?

I found a way to press the bushings out
20 minutes all 8 out and 20 minutes in. Without using a press which is a pain in the.

lol I knew that was coming. grind the welds with a Dremel bit ( I don't remember the name) its like a shaft with nubs. then use a ball joint removal tool (c clamp with cups) from autoparts store and use your impact with the appropriate size cups. I used this to do my front arms, I couldn't believe it. when I did my rears two years ago I did it with a press it was a nightmare to support the arms. ill post a pic, not a good one but its all I have. but I promise you its 20 min max out and 20 in.

It’s a ball joint or control arm bushing press. Real easy

oh actually I used one of the removed bushings to press out the remaining 7 after I removed the first one. super super easy, and nothing to support

Be sure to get ALL the tack weld off the bushing, not just the bit that's connecting it. Otherwise it can bind on the way out.

yup. but its easy to see when its done. it doesn't take long at all to grind the welds with the bit I used.

If it's your first time with those bushing: look closely to make sure you save any spacers (that go around the bushing) that come out WITH the bushing.

I didn't, and threw them away still attached to the bushings. Then rushed back to the shop the next morning and luckily retrieved them before the trash guy came. ;)

(Lesson learned: never throw any parts away until the full job is complete).

    Good Morning Guido,

Thank you for contacting us regarding the bushings for the Ferrari.

Unfortunately at this time we do not offer the bushings for the Ferrari
as most of our parts are for US cars.

    We do apologize,

I have just had done the suspension on a Dino GT4. So same as the GTB/S .
Researching ( the fun is in the hunt ) these people told me there are real risks in doing what you have done .
A home made DIY job ,
    In no particular order
1- damage the A arms with the grinder .
2- distort the A arm pressing out .
a - diff refitting the arm
    b - geometry errors
3 - impossible to realign all 16 to OEM perfection - some end up cock eyed .
3 - welds that you think are ok - fracture some time soon afterwards .
4 - the new bushed spin in the A arm wearing it more rapidly or be one noisemakers.

So After many years restoring / maintaining Ferrari suspension they them selves started to manufacture theses polybushes to preserve the OEM welded inner sleeve s and the integrity of the A arms .
This is what I had fitted ,

Deliberately the external appearance mimics OEM .

I'm still convinced the poly bushes are the best way to go....like the explaination of Birdmans way (By the way, it whas me that suggested him to cut of 1 side of the bush and press or burn out the middle part, so the outer shell can stay in place) is the simplesed way to go.
Just not happy with the rumors that some of the poly bushes are getting noissy after time...if someone has the perfect poly bushes so rease your hand and tell us what brand it is to go. Someone went with ? :
