I always see these with an asking price near 500K Hagerty Lists them around the same... Is this closer to the "real ballpark value" for these? At 225K Bo Reserve & No Bids https://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-Ferrari-550-550/302985058467?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
this car has 28000 miles I would think around 200 maybe 225 is about right...5 years ago they were around 250 then they shot up over night with the rest...heck this is probably a decent car most of them have never been driven much
after looking at it this is one of very few if not the only barchetta I have seen without racing seats and not sure if it has the carbon fiber package that I thought they all had, it also has 575 wheels....strange
Larry- It appears the racing seats were a no cost option on the Barchetta. Of course, the optional part may have just been the seat size, too, but you probably could order either type of seat. Here is another one with Daytona seats and yellow stripes. On the Superamerica, some carbon fiber was standard, but there was still an option for more pieces. Not sure if the Barchetta was similar. Do not have too many window stickers or build/option sheets for the Barchetta to check. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Have you seen one with the top on? The rarity is one thing but the 550 and 575 look way better as coupes than the superamerica or the barchetta. I don't know many cars that lose their top that get better looking.
This will be a great bargain if someone actually gets it for $225K. To be able to buy a numbered Ferrari for 20% under MSRP the way prices are these days? Not bad. And it's got enough mileage that the new owner could actually drive it without the typical depreciation anxiety. As far as the top, sure it's crazy, but no one puts it on unless it's a dire emergency. This is not a car to be thinking about in practical terms; there are enough practical cars in the world. The Barchetta is a stunning looking car, but then I think almost any car looks better, and is more fun, with the top off.
I generally prefer coupes to convertibles, but in the case of the barchetta, it makes the 550 look almost e type long !
Thanks for the Replies. Barchetta is my Favorite 550 version. I usually prefer something I can Drive without fear of ruining its Value too much... Still toggling between a 355 Gated, 550, 599 458 Spider & the F12 for a bunk mate to my 430. Winter here in Michigan so the Pressure to pick isnt on yet unless I find a screaming deal...
